A virtual cooking event is when you cook at your home – while others are doing the same in their own homes - following a recipe and instructions provided to you by the event hosts.

When you register for Ready, Set, Cook it Safe! you set up an account within a platform called Swoogo. You’ll receive a confirmation email that will provide you with your event link. On event day, click on that link or go to the “event hub” page to tune in. If you forget the username and password you used when you created the account, just click on the Forgot Password link to have your password sent to you, and your username is your email address.

One week prior to the event you will receive the recipe and ingredients list. During that week you can secure the ingredients needed to make the meal.

On September 18 at 11:30 am ET, click on the zoom link and together we’ll walk through preparing a safe and delicious meal on camera!

This is a great event to cook in community with other event participants, all the while supporting a great cause - the non-profit Partnership for Food Safety Education. You’ll learn a few new cooking tips, get the chance to try a new meal using a “safe” recipe that includes safe food handling guidance.

You also get the chance to win some amazing prizes.

Absolutely! Register to get the event materials and carve out time that works for you to cook along. We’ll send a recording of the event within three business days to all event participants. If you share a photo of your final plate and tag us @FightBAC on Facebook by September 24 you will still be entered into a random drawing for the grand prize. Other prizes will not be available.

During the event, we will ask participants to post on the Partnership’s Facebook page to show their meal. It is this social media participation during the event that makes you eligible for prize drawings. Winners will be notified by September 27.

This is a fundraiser benefiting the non-profit Partnership for Food Safety Education.

Your $25 donation goes straight into improving food safety education programming and outreach, and keep such materials free to access. $25 makes it possible for PFSE to reach 650 Americans with safe food handling information!

Thank you so much for registering for Ready, Set, Cook it Safe! We understand plans change. There is no need to cancel your registration, just simply do not show up for the event on September 18.

This is a fundraiser for the Partnership for Food Safety Education, a 501c3 nonprofit. We will not be able to honor requests for refunds. Thank you for your understanding and for keeping food safety education resources FREE to access.
