Date & Time

Description

This conference is unique in how it brings together experts in research, implementation, education and food safety practices. Individually, experts in each of these areas have valuable knowledge on what is working, and what they need. Together, these fields can provide tremendous insight regarding the collective needs for the educational material we can design for the next 10 years. In this design workshop, participants will split into small groups to work through a modified design workshop, based on the Transformational Learning Design Model. They will reflect on what is currently working as well as gaps in existing knowledge for specific audiences. The group will then collaborate to propose a new set of specific materials to be developed, defining audience, environment for use, and key behavioral change needed. This can then serve as a road map for all participants to guide future development, encourage collaboration, and facilitate possible development.
